Most of the mothers rush to the hospital with their baby even if they sneeze. Medicines for minor ailments are right next to us. Just look at the chest. If you have cough and fever, try these medicines.

Tulsi: Cold, stuffy nose, phlegm, common ailments for babies. Try the decoction boiled with basil leaves and black pepper often. All these will pass. Two or three Tulsi leaves should be given daily in the morning. It also helps to reduce allergic diseases like sneezing.

Itching and swelling caused by insect bites can be applied with turmeric mixed with basil juice.
Panikoorkila (Kanjikoorkila): This is a must-have plant for households with small children. The juice extracted from its leaves and given several times with honey is good for cough, fever and cold in children.

Panikurkila Vatti with a little rasnadi powder on top of it and applied on the forehead will reduce nasal congestion.
Ginger: Ginger is a herb that accelerates the digestive process. Adding honey to ginger juice can relieve indigestion, diarrhea and fever.




Curry leaves: Consumed in half a cup improves digestion. Also good for diarrhea with phlegm. Curdled buttermilk with curry leaves, betel nut and turmeric will eliminate indigestion. For allergies, curry leaves and turmeric can be crushed and consumed.
Atalodakam: The juice of its leaves mixed with honey and given several times is good for cough and asthma.

Turmeric: Children often get injured while running and playing. It is the most effective antiseptic medicine for it. Applying turmeric powder on the wound helps prevent it from getting infected. Grinding green turmeric and tamarind leaves to reduce inflammation caused by insect bites. Crushed green turmeric and boiled water can be used to wash wounds etc.

Brahmi: Brahmin water mixed with butter or ghee and given regularly improves memory and intelligence. One teaspoon of ghee should be mixed with half a teaspoon of brahmin water. Brahmi juice given to small babies will relieve constipation.
Muthil (Kangang): A medicine that helps to increase memory and intelligence. Adding honey to its juice is good for epilepsy.

Pumpkin: Best for digestion for children. Kachi can be served in grated buttermilk. If crushed and mixed with buttermilk, constipation will also be relieved.
Aryavepa: It is the most beneficial medicine for skin diseases. Boiled water of the leaves can be used to wash sores. Grinding leaves and applying them will reduce pain and inflammation in the joints.
